Dining at toki underground: a delicious dc experience
I had the pleasure of dining at toki underground recently, and it was a delicious dc experience. The restaurant is located in the h street corridor, and it’s a great spot for dinner or drinks.
The menu features a variety of small plates, and i was able to try a little bit of everything. The food was all incredibly flavorful, and i especially loved the chicken buns and dumplings.
The cocktails were also excellent, and i highly recommend the «toki old fashioned». Overall, i had a great time at toki underground, and i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal in dc.

The story behind toki underground, dc’s coolest ramen shop
When you think of ramen, you might not immediately think of washington, d. c. But the city’s coolest ramen shop, toki underground, is quickly changing that perception.
Toki underground was founded in 2011 by chef-owner erik bruner-yang. Born in taiwan and raised in the dc area, bruner-yang had a passion for both food and music. He combined these two passions when he opened toki underground, naming it after a japanese punk rock band.
The restaurant is located in the city’s h street corridor neighborhood, which is quickly becoming a hot spot for nightlife and dining. Toki underground has helped to lead the charge, serving up delicious bowls of ramen made with fresh ingredients and locally-sourced meats.
The shop has a small but mighty menu, with four different types of ramen available: shoyu (soy sauce), shio (salt), miso (fermented soybean paste), and tonkotsu (pork bone). There’s also a vegan option made with miso broth and vegetables.
Toki underground has become so popular that it now has a second location in bethesda, maryland. And there’s no doubt that this cool spot will continue to serve up some of the best ramen in the dc area for years to come.
