The story of how lapis restaurant came to be

Lapis restaurant is a unique dining experience that offers a taste of afghan culture in the heart of downtown toronto. The story of how it came to be is just as fascinating as the food itself.

In the early 1990s, a group of afghan immigrants settled in toronto and began to miss the tastes of home. They started cooking traditional afghan dishes for themselves and their friends, and eventually decided to open a restaurant so that everyone could enjoy these flavours.

Lapis opened its doors in 2001, and has been serving up delicious food ever since. The menu features classic afghan dishes like kabuli rice, mantu dumplings, and kebabs, as well as more modern fare such as pizzas and burgers.

A day in the life of a server at lapis restaurant

As a server at lapis restaurant, i have the opportunity to meet and interact with a lot of different people. I get to know our regular customers and their preferences, and i also get to meet new people who are just passing through. No matter who i’m serving, my goal is to provide them with the best possible dining experience.

My day starts early in the morning, when i arrive at the restaurant to start setting up. I make sure that all of the tables are clean and set with the proper utensils, and that the dining area is ready for our guests. As people start to trickle in, i greet them and seat them at their table.

Once everyone is seated, i take their drink orders and relay them to the kitchen. Then i begin taking food orders and delivering them to our guests. Throughout the meal, i check on our guests periodically to make sure they’re enjoying their food and that they have everything they need.

I really like to eat delicious food, take a walk, travel, and enjoy life to the fullest. I often write notes about restaurants all over the world, about those unusual places where I have been, what I have seen and touched, what I admired and where I did not want to leave.
Of course, my opinion is subjective, but it is honest. I pay for all my trips around the world myself, and I do not plan to become an official critic. So if I think that a certain place in the world deserves your attention, I will write about it and tell you why.
